“I had an amazing experience with Toronto Powered Paragliding. My instructor Manuel was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable, patient, and made sure everything was explained clearly before we even got off the ground.
Safety was clearly a top priority, which is really important. At the same time, Manuel made the whole experience fun and relaxed. You can tell he genuinely cares about what he does and wants you to enjoy it.
The flight itself was incredible and something I’ll never forget. You really do feel like a bird up there.
He trains both foot launch and trike. Initially I was planning to do foot launch, but I decided to start with trike based on Manuel’s recommendation. I also really appreciated doing the tandem flight first. Going up in the air with Manuel at the controls lets you experience all the sensations of flying while having the comfort of him there. If it’s your first time, it’s definitely a sensory overload, and the tandem makes your first solo flight feel much more comfortable.
The only downside would be the weather (obviously no fault of Manuel’s). There can be a lot of waiting for the right conditions. Luckily my schedule was open at the time so I could train any day, and that really helps because you progress much faster when you train back-to-back.
He also offers destination flying in the winter on a beach now. The beach gives you more reliable winds, which can make training easier. If you work in construction or have winters off like I do, I’d definitely recommend that option.
If you’re thinking about trying powered paragliding, I would absolutely recommend Toronto Powered Paragliding. At the very least, take a tandem flight — you won’t regret it. Just be warned… it’s highly addictive”.

“My experience with Manny as my flight instructor has been great. He is honest and patient. He does expect you to do your part. Like read your manuals for your motor and glider, complete your PSTAR training and put in your best effort. He is generous with his time and puts in many hours before and after school to insure that your experience is exceptional. Manny is dedicated to your training and ensures that you get the proper equipment for your physique. He teaches both foot launch and trike. He has exceptionally crafted simulated trike for inflation and taxi practice. I highly recommend Toronto Powered Paraglider for anyone who wants to succeed in becoming a powered paramotor pilot. He also offers introductory flights. I would recommend that anyone who is considering this hobby take a introductory flight to see if you have the courage to become a pilot.
